Oraclepoll Research will be conducting a community survey on behalf of the Greater Sudbury Police Services Board to solicit citizen input on crime-related issues and the provision of police services in Greater Sudbury.
The main purpose of the survey is to determine citizens’ perceptions and concerns about crime in the City and to seek their input on how to address those concerns and improve the quality of police services. The information will also be used to help define policing priorities and strategic directions for the 2011 – 2013 Greater Sudbury Police Service Business Plan.
Respondents will also be asked to rate their level of satisfaction with the quality of service provided by the Greater Sudbury Police Service. For example, the survey will seek citizen input on the following matters:
· What is the single most important issue related to crime and policing in Greater Sudbury?
· How satisfied are you with the quality of service provided by the Greater Sudbury Police Service?
· What can the police do to improve their service to the community?
Oraclepoll will be contacting respondents via telephone. If contacted by Oraclepoll, citizens are encouraged to take a few minutes of their time to respond. The Greater Sudbury Police Services Board appreciates the citizens’ cooperation and requires this input for their business planning process.
