Sometime between the 4th and 9th of February, culprits broke into a residence in the area of Falconbridge Rd and Oneil Dr West in Garson. While at the property, the persons responsible did extensive damage and stole some jewelry. The approximate value of the damages and theft exceed $400 000.
Any Information leading to the identity of these culprits would be appreciatedOn the 19th of January, in the area of Attlee St and Soloy St, the victims returned to their home at the end of the day to find it ransacked. Police investigation and CCTV footage led to the image of 3 male parties as being responsible for this crime. The males were all wearing dark hoodies, and masks, one hoodie did have white at the waist and wrist. There images can be found at the Sudbury Crime Stoppers webpage. These culprits did steal a large quantity of items and did commit a lot of property damage during the incident.

Crime Stoppers and the Ministry of Natural Resources are looking for your assistance in the matter of an abandoned moose, approximately 56 kilometers Northwest of Elliott Lake, in Simons Township.
Near the end of October 2025, Conversation officers received information of a shot and abandoned bull moose in a forestry cut on the south side of New Kindiogami Rd near kilometer marker 34. It is believed that the moose was shot between October 18th and the 21st. Abandoning big game animals and leaving them to rot is a serious offense.
Any information regarding those responsible, would be greatly appreciated

On the evening of September 29th, police were contacted in regard to a mischief in process. A male dressed in a white shirt, black pants, and carrying a black backpack was seen leaving the area where all 4 tires of a white SUV had been punctured. In the overnight hours of October 10, this male was seen return to the area in a white 3 door Ford F150 with a black homemade truck cap. He is seen to attend the same vehicle and puncture 2 tires.








In the early hours of March 25th unknown culprits attended a property on Gauthier Station Rd, French River and disabled the security cameras. They then proceeded to steal a 2023 Revolver 508 Trommel. The piece of equipment is used for screening aggregate materials and is green and yellow in color. The equipment weighs just under 10 000 lbs. The estimated value of this piece of equipment is about $100 000

Crime Stoppers and the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police are looking for your assistance in the matter of four arsons in Elliot Lake.
Sometime between the 10th and the 21st of February, 2025, the Elliot Lake Fire Department and Ontario Provincial Police were dispatched to properties near Ottawa Avenue and Perini Road. The four separate fires involved three motor vehicles and an abandoned camper trailer.
The unknown suspect(s) fled the area prior to emergency services attending and remain unidentified.
The value of the property damage is unknown at this time.
Sometime during the overnight hours between May 9th and 10th, 2024, a motor vehicle was stolen from Landsdowne St. in Cartier. Sudbury OPP responded to find a 2013 dark blue Ford F-150 with Ontario licence plate # BX39660 had been stolen from the driveway.
The approximate value of property stolen is over $10,000.00.
On the 31st of May, 2022, Police were asked to check on the well being of Rohan Williams. Upon arrival at his address on Elm St, he was found deceased. The cause of death has been determined to be gunshot wounds. He was also known as Frank, Dante, Nathan and Richmond. Rohan was 50 yrs of age at the time of his untimely demise. Police remain committed to bringing those responsible to justice.
Any information, regardless how unimportant you may believe it to be, from the days leading to Rohan’s homicide may be the missing piece of the puzzle.


On the 5th of February, about 1:28 in the afternoon, a gold Chevrolet SUV was travelling east on the Kingsway between Levesque and Moonlight Ave when a truck approached from behind aggressively and struck the left corner of the SUV. A newer model Silver grey GMC Sierra AT4 failed to remain at the scene of the accident. The victim followed the suspect to a parking lot where the suspect, in his 30s, about 6 foot tall, slim build and light colored hair, aggressively approached the victim’s vehicle. The victim did not engage, and the suspect left at a high rate of speed.


On January 18, 2024, shortly before 4:00 p.m., the Manitoulin OPP responded to a report of a break and enter on Main Street in Sables-Spanish Rivers Township. The property
owners reported to police that a firearm, ammunition, and various power tools and hand tools were stolen from the property.
The approximate value of property stolen is over $25,000.00.

On the 5th of December just before noon, a male party was seen on video surveillance breaking into a cottage in the area of Reserve Camp Rd, Atikameksheng First Nations. The party was observed taking alcohol and a television but was scared off when the owner yelled at him through the surveillance system. In the same area, about the same time frame, another cottage was broken into where electronics and alcohol were taken.
The male party is described as 5’10’ to 6’ with a medium build with a shoe size of about 10 ½ or 11. He may have had other parties with him.
The estimated value of the stolen property is $ 3 500On the 8th of October, at about 3:30 pm, a male entered a retailer located near the intersection of Spruce and Eyre street. He approached the staff member with a weapon, demanding money. The suspect then fled the area. The male is described as about 5’6” thin build, wearing a beige hoody, black face mask, dark blue trousers and dark colored footwear.


On the 2nd of July, a break, enter and theft occurred at a home located on Falconbridge Road, between Emily Street and San Francisco Street. The theft resulted in a loss to the home owner of over $ 3 000 dollars. On the 8th of July, just after midnight, three suspects, a male, slim, about 5’9” to 6’ tall, a second male, medium build, over 6 ‘ tall and a female, blonde hair, thin build, were captured on video attempting to enter the home. It is believed that they were returning to victimize the resident again. Any information on the identity of the responsible parties would be greatly appreciated.




On the 30th of June, Police received a number of calls from area residents in regard to some graffiti. The unoccupied building located on Regional Road 80 at the intersection of Notre Dame Street in Hanmer had been tagged with graffiti. The graffiti was anti-semitic and included swastikas. These types of hate or bias crimes are taken seriously and are offensive to Holocaust survivors and their families. Greater Sudbury prides itself in the diversity of our community.
Sometime during the last week of April and first week of May 2023, unknown culprits trespassed onto a campground located in Mindemoya on Manitoulin Island. The suspects broke into several sheds and removed multiple items.
The approximate value of property stolen and damage to the sheds is over $7000.00.
On the night of March 21, 2023, unknown culprits trespassed onto a business property located on Hwy 17, in the Town of Espanola. The suspects cut and removed 10 catalytic converters from Dodge Ram trucks, nine were taken from 2022 Dodge RAMs and 1 was taken from a 2020 Dodge RAM.
The approximate value of property stolen and damage to the vehicles is $75,000.00.
Crime Stoppers and the Greater Sudbury Police Service are seeking the public’s assistance in regard to an allegation of theft.
In the last few weeks, culprits have been working hard at obtaining the pin number of innocent shoppers. Once a pin is obtained, the culprit and cohort will follow the victim to their vehicle, but will make it look like it is just by chance. The cohort will distract the victim, by making it look like something is wrong with the victim’s tire. Once the victim climbs out of their car, the culprit will sneak in and take the victim’s wallet. They can then proceed to use the cards to make large purchases or get some cash.
Distraction crimes are on the rise, please be aware of your surroundings when using a pin number and don’t be distracted.
Crime Stoppers and the Elliot Lake Ontario Provincial Police are looking for your assistance in the matter of a break, enter and theft.
Sometime during the overnight hours of January 26th, unknown suspects attended a retail location on Ontario Avenue in Elliot Lake. The suspects broke into the location and stole various electronics, including two large screen televisions, a DVR and safe. A display case was also broken into and several cellular phones were stolen.
The estimated value of the stolen property and cash taken is $25,000.

Sometime between 10:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. on December 23rd, individuals attended a location on 700 Camp Rd. off of Hwy 144, north of Cartier and stole a snow machine from a parked trailer.
The snow machine was secured within an enclosed trailer which was locked. The 2021 Polaris 850 is described as black and grey, with orange accented skiis and track suspension.
The estimated value of this snow machine is approximately $17 000.
