Event Volunteer
Purpose
Reporting to the Sudbury Rainbow Crime Stoppers’ designates, the Event Volunteer will assist in all aspects of event planning and execution. All volunteers are required to comply with relevant legislative and regulatory requirements and Sudbury Rainbow Crime Stoppers’ Health and Safety, AODA and harassment policies.
Key Areas of Responsibility and Duties
Meet and greet people arriving at the event
Assist with set-up and clean-up on event day
Assist with guest registration on event day
Assist with selling raffle tickets on event day
Assist with taking pictures/videos for social media content
Communicate in a caring and courteous manner, ensuring appropriate personal boundaries are maintained and respected
Work cooperatively at all times and actively contribute towards team effectiveness.
Participate in team briefings and debriefings, providing updates as required.

Qualifications
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work in unfamiliar environments and be adaptable to changing circumstances and requirements.
Ability to work as part of a team and take appropriate direction.
Ability to work within operational policies & procedures and maintain confidentiality.

First Aid Volunteer
Purpose
Reporting to the Sudbury Rainbow Crime Stoppers’ designates, the First Aid Volunteer will always be in accordance with the Red Cross First Aid Code of Conduct. All volunteers are required to comply with relevant legislative and requirements and Sudbury Rainbow Crime Stoppers’ Health and Safety, AODA and harassment policies.
Key Areas of Responsibility and Duties
Provide emergency first aid treatment
Ask about their needs and concerns, provide information as required, and to link them to available services and resources.
Communicate in a caring, sensitive and courteous manner, ensuring appropriate personal boundaries are maintained and respected
Establish and record the identity of each person and record basic data.
Work cooperatively at all times and actively contribute towards team effectiveness.
Participate in team briefings and debriefings, providing updates as required.

Qualifications
Possess a valid first aid certificate
Possess a valid CPR certificate
Sensitivity to people’s reactions to trauma and stress and ability to work under stressful conditions and stay calm.
